I was going through my photos on my computer the other day and came across the 15 rolls of film I shot in South Korea and I realized I’ve never shared them. Some of the photos are spectacular, more for their subject matter than composition, as I was just learning how to use a camera.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my adventures I had in South Korea. In 2004, I went on my first mission trip to South Korea with AWANA International. There I fell in love with teaching ESL, working with kids, traveling, and adventure. The three-week trip was breathtaking-I experienced so much of South Korea, its hospitable culture, vivid traditions, and past. Wherever I went I felt at home and wouldn’t have left if it wasn’t for me still being in high school. One day I’ll return and explore more of what I originally fell in love with.
The country itself is beautiful. From expansive cityscapes to rolling hills and lush forests, one can find hidden beauties at every turn. Sadly, I didn’t take the time to write down where I shot any of these photos.
